FAQ

Do you offer finish painting services?
We do not offer painting services. We focus on getting you back on the road as quickly as possible and at an affordable price. All of our repairs are completed with a clear coat finish and are faired into the frame for a smooth, seamless transition which is necessary should you decide to have the frame repainted.

Do you require a deposit to begin the repair?
Yes, we require a 30% deposit of the quote we provide prior to any work being done.

How quickly will you repair my bike?
This depends on the extent of the damage and a turn around time will be provided in the quote we provide. But in general, you can expect to have your bike back within 10 days of our receipt of your frame.

How do I send/deliver my bike?
We suggest using bike flights to send your frame. They offer reasonable rates and fully insure your frame during delivery.
You can get a quote at:  https://bikeflights.com

Who pays for shipping?
You are responsible for all shipping costs. The final invoice will include the cost of return shipping.

Do you guarantee the repair?
Yes, we guarantee the repair for the life of the frame. The warranty is transferable should the frame come to a new owner.

Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.

Is a repaired frame as strong as the original?
While the repair of any composite material will never be as strong as the original, carbon offers the unique properties to afford an incredibly strong and reliable repair that offers all the same strength and qualities of the original. This is why we guarantee the repair for the life of the frame.

What frame damage is not repairable?
This is on a case by case basis. Generally we will not repair a frame where the damage is so catastrophic that the frame has completely broken such that there is original material missing, the bottom bracket and/or steering tube has been significantly compromised or there are multiple complete frame failures. The best way to find out is to contact and provide as many detailed photographs as possible.

How does frame pickup and delivery work?
We offer pickup and delivery services if you live within a 50 mile radius of either Newport, RI or New Haven, CT. We are also willing to meet and agreed upon location should you live outside the 50 mile radius. We provide the service one day a week, typically on Thursday in the evening. However, we can make alternative arrangements on a case by case basis.

Do I need to strip the bike of parts for you to repair it?
You do not need to strip the bike if we are picking up/delivering it. You can provide the bike as is. We will perform any disassembly and reassembly is necessary to perform the repair.

If you are shipping the bike, it is cheaper and easier to ship if you are able to dismantle the bike, but it is not necessary.
